Bella Ciao - Handcrafted bicycles blending Italian elegance with German engineering
Alex Rückheim
'The single-speed commuter bicycle from Bella Ciao is handcrafted in a retro minimalist design. The racing stem and handlebars bring the Ingegnere rider into the ideal position: elegant and upright, yet charged with responsive tension.' Bella Ciao relies on authentic Italian craftsmanship to construct the steel foundation work of its bicycle line. Every frame is handcrafted by a family-run workshop located on the outskirts of Milan. Once the steel frames are finished in Italy, they’re shipped to the town of Niemegk for a triple-coat finish of paint, and at no small expense, as paint technicians work by hand to apply the surface treatments. The final step in the Bella Ciao production process happens in the German town of Möckern, where a three-person team outfits the finished frames with a mixed bag of top-of-the-line parts.'
