Applied Object - minimal interior designed in Berlin

Alex Rückheim

Applied Object was founded by Dirk Rittberger in Berlin in 2012. Since then it is his mission to create interior design products that are designed from scratch and build by technology. This means that most of his products are mechanically cut from aluminum plates, which are light, stable and beautiful. The minimal designs are not only functional but very timeless and therefore suitable for almost every apartment, studio or house. Being completely white, the longboard and the sideboard are the perfect place to store and display all your favorites, from books, to plants, to designer toys - those shelves will put them in the right light. Budnitz Bicyles - handmade titanium belt drive bicycles

Alex Rückheim

Paul Budnitz began creating titanium bicycles for his own use in 2002. Almost immediately people began stopping him on the street to ask where they could buy a bicycle just like the one he was riding. 8 years later Budnitz Bicycles was founded with the mission of offering top-end bicycles for daily use. Since then the small company based out of Burlington, Vermont creates the fastest, lightest, and most beautiful city bicycles in the world. Working exclusively in titanium and cro-moly steel the company claims, their handmade bicycles last a lifetime and are a blast to ride - which is not hard to believe when looking at these stunning pieces of design and craftsmanship. All bicycles feature top-end components, the majority developed for bike racing by small boutique fabricators in the USA, Europe & Japan. Bella Ciao - Handcrafted bicycles blending Italian elegance with German engineering

Alex Rückheim

'The single-speed commuter bicycle from Bella Ciao is handcrafted in a retro minimalist design. The racing stem and handlebars bring the Ingegnere rider into the ideal position: elegant and upright, yet charged with responsive tension.' Bella Ciao relies on authentic Italian craftsmanship to construct the steel foundation work of its bicycle line. Every frame is handcrafted by a family-run workshop located on the outskirts of Milan. Once the steel frames are finished in Italy, they’re shipped to the town of Niemegk for a triple-coat finish of paint, and at no small expense, as paint technicians work by hand to apply the surface treatments. The final step in the Bella Ciao production process happens in the German town of Möckern, where a three-person team outfits the finished frames with a mixed bag of top-of-the-line parts.' A nice work environment is vital to every successful business. This is why you should consider to surround yourself with some beautiful basic items, that will enhance your office life. We found our three favorite items for a better work environment at Edition Populaire, an online store where functionality and quality meet good design. The first item is the Bostitch „Klizia 97“ a very simple, but very effective stapler, made in Italy. The second item is a long time classic and super important when the numbers get to long for your brain - the timeless calculator BNE001BK by BRAUN. The last item is one the we always were looking for, but could´t find: a proper trashcan that helps you to get rid of the mess on your desk and looks great at the same time, the trash basket by Schoolhouse Electric.
