FEIT - Unisex Sandals

Footwear company FEIT added this beautiful, hand-molded leather sandal to its range. Inspired by the Japanese Geta flip-flop, the FEIT Leather Sandal is given a robust feel and look with two substantial straps and a wider footbed. The straps are attached with 8 simple hand stitches, and the hand-molded footbed is lined with cork and natural latex for flexibility. The sandal has a distinctively clean, unisex look for the summer.

FEIT is a neoluxury footwear and accessories company based in New York City. FEIT’s minimal modern aesthetic emphasises construction techniques and the quality of the materials used. All FEIT products are handmade in limited volumes.

FARMERS’ - Hand-made Care Products

Alex Rückheim

Farmers Care Products

Nourishing ingredients, rich in texture but not too oily and greasy. Inspired by the labours of Welsh hill farmers, FARMERS’ produces handmade creams and balms that are based on unique product formulations including their essential ingredient, lavender oil, which comes from flowers just outside their windows. Created by creams designer, Helen Lowe, the FARMERS’ line focuses on ingredients that are beneficial – the products don’t contain any artificial colours or perfumes.

The FARMERS’ Hand Cream (100ml, £12) nourishes hard working hands with an earthy scent along refreshing peppermint and rosemary notes; their scrub (75ml, £14) is an exceptionally mild and exotic blend of oils of lavender, geranium, frankincense and bamboo powder effectively removing deep set impurities; and the nourishing lip balm (15g, £5) combines their essential lavender oil with lime oil and honey.

CHRISTIAN METZNER - The BJM Bracelet

Alex Rückheim

Christian Metzner

Christian Metzner has studied architecture and product design in Potsdam, and founded his own label in 2006. 2012 sees his diploma thesis in cooperation with the bag company Bree, shortly thereafter following Philipp Bree into his team of designers of his new bag brand PB0110. Always in search of perfect proportions and manual precision, his work oscillates between laboratory aesthetics, progressive design and antiquated elegance.
The BJM Bracelet is a series of meticulously handmade bangles that combine traditional craftsmanship with a new take on porcelain and glass. Their minimalist design and austerity provokes comparison with antique Roman ornaments, while asserting their modern sculptural qualities. Weight, surface structure and the optical impression of solidity and strength counteract the fragility of the materials, a contradiction that holds its own particular appeal. Available in glazed white porcelain, or in borosilicate glass (silver, gold, bronze or transparent).
