AESOP - Parsley Seed for Your Skin

Alex Rückheim

Aesop Skincare

After reviewing Aesop’s Post-Poo Drops earlier this year, we now took a closer at the brand’s Parsley Seed skincare range. With the aim to create a range of superior-quality products, this range is arguably the result of extensive research and development into the most effective way to deliver vitamins and anti-oxidants to the skin. As the name suggests, each product contains Parsley Seed extract – an anti-oxidant ingredient that has significant protective benefits for your skin.

The range comprises some exceptionally light and quickly absorbing creams, serums and treatments that moisturise, hydrate, protect and nourish your skin. Starting from £25.

ERASED TAPES RECORDS – Pure Sonic Perfection

Alex Rückheim

Founded back in 2007 by Robert Raths, Erased Tapes Records has developed into a melting pot for innovative musicians from around the world, embracing both digital and traditional means of releasing music. That is, the London-based contemporary label is widely recognised for their avant-garde musicians that span across various genres and styles. The label’s portfolio of contemporary yet classical composers includes no other than Ólafur Arnalds from Iceland, German composer Nils Frahm, music pioneer Lubomyr Melnyk and multi-instrumentalist Peter Broderick amongst others.

'The heart-string-tugging London label that floats gently between 20th century composition and ambient music.'

FARMERS’ - Hand-made Care Products

Alex Rückheim

Farmers Care Products

Nourishing ingredients, rich in texture but not too oily and greasy. Inspired by the labours of Welsh hill farmers, FARMERS’ produces handmade creams and balms that are based on unique product formulations including their essential ingredient, lavender oil, which comes from flowers just outside their windows. Created by creams designer, Helen Lowe, the FARMERS’ line focuses on ingredients that are beneficial – the products don’t contain any artificial colours or perfumes.

The FARMERS’ Hand Cream (100ml, £12) nourishes hard working hands with an earthy scent along refreshing peppermint and rosemary notes; their scrub (75ml, £14) is an exceptionally mild and exotic blend of oils of lavender, geranium, frankincense and bamboo powder effectively removing deep set impurities; and the nourishing lip balm (15g, £5) combines their essential lavender oil with lime oil and honey.

MIDORI – Brass Stationery Made in Japan

Alex Rückheim

Established in 1950, Japanese brand MIDORI creates sophisticated and creative stationery, combining design aesthetics and functionality. The brand designed a range of brass stationery products including this beautifully sleek ballpoint pen, pencil and ruler. The beauty of brass lies in its somewhat nostalgic feeling as its texture uniquely ages over time depending on how and in what environment you use it. Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has its own gloss, and has been used in architecture, furniture and hardware, art and craftworks, etc., since antiquity. Over the years, its surface oxidizes to become a deep, tender colour hue worthy of long appreciation. Both the solid brass ballpoint pen and pencil are designed in a compact, two-part (open and closed) bullet-like shape.
